The Bethlehem Central High School Unified Bowling team celebrated another successful season on Friday, Mar 14. The team gathered with friends, coaches, faculty and staff for some friendly competition at Del Lanes. The end-of-year celebration has become an annual event that everyone looks forward to. Organized by Coach Sean Mooney, this year’s bowling outing was fun for all!
Unified Sports promotes athletic opportunities for students with and without intellectual disabilities. The interscholastic program — a partnership between Special Olympics New York and the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) — aims to foster inclusion and understanding through shared sports experiences.
Unified Bowling is one of three unified sports offered at the high school. Unified Bocce completed its first fall season this school year; Unified Basketball will begin its spring season next month. There is still time for students at BCHS to sign up for spring Unified Basketball.
