Nineteen Bethlehem Central High School students will compete in the 7th annual Poetry Out Loud competition on Thursday, Jan. 4 at 6:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. The event is free and open to the public.
The students will recite two previously published poems of their choice and will be judged in six categories: physical presence; voice and articulation; dramatic appropriateness; evidence of understanding; overall performance; and accuracy.

The two top finishers will advance to the regional Poetry Out Loud contest. Past BC winners of Poetry Out Loud have also earned spots in the NYS competition and one winner advanced to the national finals in 2022.
