Safety information for families
We have had many questions about school safety from families following the tragic events in Buffalo and Uvalde, Texas. I can assure you that the safety of students and staff is always at the forefront of discussions by district and building leaders. General safety information K-12 can be found here and I am always available to answer your questions. Please remember that parents also have a collective voice in matters of school safety through our PTOs and PTAs. I would encourage you to get involved in our PTA. Our school’s PTA is represented on the district’s President’s Council which meets monthly throughout the year with district leaders to discuss pressing issues and develop strategies and solutions around those issues.
Juneteenth Contest
Thank you for all of the incredible Juneteenth submissions! We had over 30 students participate in this contest and six outstanding submissions won a gift card to I Love Books. Three submissions in particular won a gift card and will also join us at our next board meeting to present their work. Congratulations to Miles Wilmot, Jade Bailey and Ava Rothenberg!
Field Day
Field day is happening next Friday! Thank you to the PTA, specifically Kathy O’Meara and Kori Jones for organizing this incredible day for our students. Please have your child wear the specified colored shirt listed below for that day!
K = yellow; 1 = red; 2 = green; 3 = blue; 4 = orange; 5 = new grade t-shirt
Drop off time
In an effort to minimize the number of unsupervised students congregating in front of the school before the doors open at 9:10am, please assist us by not allowing your child(ren) to arrive anytime before 9:05am. Thank you!
