The Bethlehem Central High School club known as Students for Peace and Survival will host its annual Empty Bowls fundraiser on Wednesday, January 10 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. This year’s event will run at the same time as an Arts Night featuring the talents of BC students who study fine arts.
Empty Bowls
- BCHS Cafeteria
- Wednesday, Jan. 10, 5-7 p.m.
- Tickets $10/each
All-you-can eat soup (vegetarian, vegan and non-vegetarian options) plus a handmade piece of pottery (while supplies last). Empty Bowls events are held throughout the United States to raise awareness and money for hunger-related charities. The fundraiser was started by a group of social justice-minded artists who wanted to do something for those in need, so they used their talents and made handmade pottery and made soup to raise money and bring awareness to those who have to do without every day.
Proceeds from the BC Empty Bows will go to the Regional Food Bank of Northeast NY and Capital Roots.
