At the NYS championship meet in Queensbury, the BC team took 5 of the top 6 scoring positions to score just 20 points (the team receiving the lowest score wins.) The second-place team, Northport, scored 75 points, followed by Liverpool (97 points).
Coach Chrapowitzky said the team had a perfect 12-0 dual meet record this season.
“The team was undefeated in invitational competition, and swept the Albany County, Suburban Council, and Section 2 Class A championships,” said Coach Chrapowitzky. “However, the job is not done yet.”
The team will continue to compete at the NY Federation Championship on Saturday, Nov. 23 at Bowdoin Park in Wappingers Falls. The girls will be attempting to qualify for a third consecutive trip to the Nike Cross National Championship Meet in Portland, Oregon on December 7.
Congratulations and best of luck to these outstanding student-athletes and their coaches!
