At its Dec. 20 meeting, the BC Board of Education recognized several student-athletes for their accomplishments last fall. Each student was presented with an Eagle pin in recognition of their achievements by Board of Education President Holly Dellenbaugh and Superintendent Jody Monroe.
Girls Swim & Dive
The BC girls swim and dive team placed second overall at sectionals and had an outstanding season. The team was designated a Scholar-Athlete team by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA).
Several members of the team qualified for the NYSPHSAA championships, as well as earned other honors:

Girls Golf Team
The girls golf team finished 8-5, the best record in the program’s history. The team placed fourth at the sectional tournament. The team was designated a Scholar-Athlete team by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA).

Girls Cross Country
The girls cross country team had another stellar season with a second-place finish in Section 2 Class A competition. The BC team finished second at the NYS Federation Meet for the second consecutive year and also qualified for the Nike Cross Nationals in Oregon. The team finished 11th in the nation.
The girls cross country team was named a fall 2023 Scholar-Athlete team by NYSPHSAA.

Girls Tennis
The Girls Tennis Team earned its third consecutive Section 2 Class AA championship in 2023. The team won the Suburban Council championship by defeating Saratoga 5-4 and Burnt Hills Ballston Lake in a subregional championship. Those wins were followed by a 7-0 Regional Championship win over Section 3 Fayetteville-Manlius. As a result, BC participated in the NYSPHSAA State Championships held at the USTA Center in NYC for the third consecutive year. Girls Tennis Coach Scott George was also named Times Union’s Tennis Coach of the Year for the third straight year.
