On Saturday, June 8, the Bethlehem Central varsity baseball team captured the New York State Public High School Athletic Association NYSPHSAA Class AA championship. The team defeated Hauppauge 11-3 in the final game held at Mirabito Stadium in Binghamton. It is the first time in school history the baseball team has won a state championship.

There will be a community victory parade for the team on Saturday, June 15.
