BC Wellness Policy
The primary goal of this policy is to provide students with nutritious meals and beverages that comply with federal and state nutrition standards. The policy is to ensures that all food service staff, including the Food Service Director, meet or exceed the hiring and annual training standards set by the USDA Professional Standards for Child Nutrition Professionals.
All foods and beverages sold or provided by schools participating in the National School Lunch Program and/or School Breakfast Program will meet and/or exceed the minimum federal and state nutrition standards. This includes items in vending machines and a la carte/snack products that students have access to during the school day.
