2024-25 Slingerlands School Supply Lists

The 2024-25 school year at Slingerlands Elementary School begins on Thursday, September 5, 2024. School supply lists for the new year can be found below: 

Kindergarten

Print or download Kindergarten supply list [PDF]

  • Backpack—labeled with name (No wheels please. Large enough to hold a folder, large library book, and a lunchbox)
  • Plastic pencil box (4”x8”)- labeled with name
  • 1 box of Ticonderoga #2 pencils (12 count)
  • 1 package of 3 Black Expo fine tip dry erase markers
  • 3 boxes of crayons (16 or 24 count)
  • 3 large or 6 small Glue sticks
  • 1 smock—labeled with name—an old adult t-shirt works great
  • 1 change of clothing in a plastic Ziploc bag, labeled with your child’s name
  • 1 pair of headphones (not wireless) labeled with your child’s name
  • 1 reusable water bottle, labeled with child’s name

Grade 1

  • 1 backpack large enough for binders, folders, books, lunch, etc. ( no wheels please)
  • 3 plain (no designs) 2-pocket folders (blue, green, yellow)
  • 2 boxes of crayons (24 count, Crayola preferred)
  • 10 fine-tip black dry-erase markers ( Expo preferred)
  • 8-10 small glue sticks
  • 2 containers of Play-Doh
  • 1 pair of durable headphones ( not earbuds ; please check for comfort fit)
  • 1 pair of scissors ( children’s round tip Fiskars)
  • 2 boxes of standard-sized pencils ( Ticonderoga preferred)
  • 1 plastic pencil box ( not a zippered bag)
  • 1 water bottle ( this will come back and forth with your child daily, so that it can be washed and refilled at home)
  • Mrs. McCaffrey’s class also needs a 1 ½ inch binder
  • Please label the headphones, scissors, folders, pencil box, water bottle, and play-doh with your child’s first and last name in sharpie.

Grade 2

  • 1 dozen SHARPENED #2 Ticonderoga pencils
  • 2 LARGE pencil erasers
  • 1 box of 24 Crayola crayons
  • 1 pack of 12 Crayola colored pencils
  • 1 pack of 10 Crayola washable markers (broad classic – not the fine point)
  • 1 standard pencil BOX (no bags)
  • 3 highlighters
  • 4 Expo markers
  • 1 pair of scissors
  • 2 FINE point Sharpie markers
  • 9-10 LARGE glue sticks
  • 3 Composition notebooks (black and white marble)
  • 3 HEAVY DUTY pocket folders (colors: blue, yellow, green)
  • 1 WHITE 3-ring binder with front view pocket (size: ½ inch)
  • 1 BLACK 3-ring binder with front view pocket (size: ½ inch)
  • 4 pack of Playdough
  • 1 pair of headphones (no ear buds)

Grade 3

  • 4 – Pocket folders (colors: red, blue, green, yellow)
  • 2 – Yellow highlighters
  • 1 – Box of markers (10 pack)

  • 1 – Pencil pouch/box
  • 1 – Pack of 3×3 Post-It Notes
  • 1 – Scissors (6 in), “Big Kid” or “8+”

  • $4 for planner (only if in Link/Downs, Reiss/Qualtere or Fitzpatrick’s classes)

  • 4 two-pocket folders (solid yellow, green, red and purple)
  • $4.00 for assignment notebook (checks payable to“Slingerlands”)
  • $5.00 CASH for Bare Book (used for 5th grade scrapbook project)
