Fay Hu, a graduating senior at Bethlehem Central High School, has been named a candidate in the 2024 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program. Approximately 5,000 candidates nationwide were selected from nearly 3.6 million students expected to graduate from U.S. high schools this year.
Inclusion in the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program is one of the highest honors bestowed upon graduating high school seniors. Scholars are selected based on superior academic and artistic achievements, leadership qualities, strong character and involvement in community and school activities.
Hu is one of only seven students in the Capital Region to be named a 2024 U.S. Presidential Scholar candidate. Program finalists will be announced in the spring. She is the first 2024 U.S. Presidential Scholar candidate from Bethlehem since 2021.
Congratulations and best of luck to Fay!
