The Bethlehem Central School District Green Team will host the second annual Giveaway Weekend in the Town of Bethlehem from Friday, May 10-Sunday, May 12.
Recycling and reducing waste are essential, but what about reusing? We all have items that are still good, but we have no use for. Put them out for others to take and, in return, find something you need!
Giveaway Weekend Guidelines
- Hours for the event are 12 noon Friday, May 10 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 12.
- Items to be given away should be placed at the end of a participant’s personal driveway or their curb ONLY.
- If you are participating, print this flier. The flier should posted and displayed with items, so that items intended to be given away are clearly labeled and no one accidentally takes unintended items.
- It is the sole responsibility of the homeowner to put the items out and remove them by 5 p.m. on Sunday. The Town will NOT collect any leftover items.
- Respect for personal boundaries is required; participants should rummage at designated curb sites ONLY and at no time should anyone enter private property.
- Prohibited items include TVs/ monitors, mattresses, stuffed furniture, and bedding (potential bedbugs).
