On Monday evening, Mar. 27, don’t be alarmed if you see several fire department vehicles at Bethlehem Central High School. Fire departments from Delmar and Slingerlands have been invited to a safety walkthrough/training at the school.
The district routinely partners with fire officials as part of each department’s pre-planning activities in the event of an emergency. The training is designed to help members of the fire departments quickly identify utility locations, fire alarm panels, sprinkler systems and spaces within the school that may contain special hazards. The walkthrough/training is also an opportunity for department members to become more familiar with the layout of the school.
Similar training is tentatively scheduled for next month at the middle school.
