Parents, guardians and student-athletes of all ages are invited to a special session on Nov. 22 with a sport psychologist who will offer tips and strategies on how to balance the demands of being a student-athlete, how to prioritize personal wellness and how to seek help when a teen or pre-teen is feeling stressed.
The session will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 6 p.m. at Bethlehem Central High School in the cafeteria. The Winter Meet the Coaches Night is scheduled to follow the presentation and will also take place in the cafeteria.
The session will be hosted by sport psychologist Holly Serrao, Ph.D. of Capital Area Psychological Services. Dr. Serrao has extensive experience working with athletes, sports teams, and coaches, emphasizing the importance of the mind-body connection for young players. A former high school and Division 1 Collegiate runner, Dr. Serrao has both personal and profession experience in the field of sport psychology.
This session is intended for student-athletes and their families, but is open to all district students/families.
