Photo Gallery: Glenmont Planting Day
May 23, 2012
Students at Glenmont today planted an American Heart
Association Teaching Garden. The Glenmont Teaching Garden is sponsored
by BlueShield of Northeastern New York as part of an education
initiative to help build healthy bodies and minds. Representatives from
The AHA and Blue Shield were on hand to kick off Planting Day, as well
as Superintendent Thomas J. Douglas, Glenmont Principal Laura Heffernan,
Board of Education member Lynne Lenhardt and members of the Bethlehem
Town Board. They were joined by Glenmont students, eager to plant, play
and learn at one of the day's many events.
To cap the day off, Glenmont teacher and Garden Champion Andrew Kourt
was presented with a plaque for his dedication and hard work in making
the Teaching Garden grow!
