Donate used ink jet cartridges, cell phones, and other electronics at Elsmere

December 21, 2010 - Help our school and save the environment by sending in used ink jet cartridges, and working or broken: cell phones, digital cameras, MP3 players (iPods and other brands), digital video cameras, laptops, GPS devices, and radar detectors.

Elsmere PTA recycles these items through the Recycling Fund-raiser program and earns money that is used to enrich your child's educational experience.

Send them in with your child or drop them off in the recycling bin in the main office at any time during the school year. Please do not send in chargers or cases. Questions? Contact Harriet Jaffe, hjaffe@gmail.com.

Recycle plastic bottle caps at Elsmere

Did you know that local garbage haulers treat rigid plastic bottle caps as garbage? But you can recycle them at Elsmere! We've joined beauty products manufacturer Aveda's caps recycling program. We can recycle CLEAN rigid plastic caps such as shampoo caps, detergent caps, water and soda caps, jarred food caps (such as mayo, peanut butter), flip tops, and pharmaceutical caps.

Send them in with your child or drop them off in the main office's recycling bin.

Please *do not* send non-rigid caps (e.g., yogurt or butter tub caps), metal caps, or lotion or spray pumps.
