Students’ artwork selected for Empire State Plaza Art Collection
Congratulations to our BCSD students on their selection for the Empire State Plaza Art Collection Student Art Exhibition.
Ms. Sieme, Ms. Fortin, Ms. Hahn, Ms. Forman and Mr. Ruggiero selected artwork by 75 students that was created in response to a work of art in the plaza collection. The students’ work will be on display in the South Concourse closest to the Madison Avenue entrance through March 12.
This event is a one of a kind as it is the only capital region exhibition for K-8 students. It is an opportunity for students to showcase how their art was inspired by artwork from the Empire State Plaza Permanent Collection.
The artwork of 75 BCSD students is on display at the Empire State Plaza through March 12.
This exhibit is being held in conjunction with National Youth Art Month and is sponsored by the NYS Office of General Services and the Capital Area Art Supervisors (CAAS) group.
Students and parents were invited to a reception on Tuesday, March 6, where they had the opportunity to hear remarks form Office of General Services Deputy Commissioner, Joseph Rabito.
